IN-PLANET trainers held the first local workshop in Thessaloniki, Greece on 23rd June 2025 bringing together youth workers, teachers and young people for a hands-on session on media literacy and fake news. 💬 📱

2nd workshop
Source Reliability Ranking
On 23rd June 2025, IN-PLANET trainers implemented also the second local workshop in Thessaloniki, Greece where participants dove into the world of news source evaluation with a hands-on activity titled “Source Reliability Ranking.” 🗞️ 🔍
Together, we:
📋 Compiled a diverse list of news outlets—from highly reputable to questionable
📊 Ranked them based on perceived reliability
🧠 Discussed key criteria like editorial standards, fact-checking practices, and transparencyThe session sparked insightful conversations about how we consume information and the importance of recognizing bias, credibility, and accountability in media.
3rd workshop
Media Literacy Role-Play
On 29th July 2025 IN-PLANET trainers implemented the third local workshop in Patra, Greece where participants brought media literacy to life through theater role-play.
They used forum theater to explore how misinformation can fuel prejudice—this time focusing on ageism.
Through role-play, participants showed how fake news and biased posts can distort public perception and deepen social exclusion.
🧠 They created fictional content, stepped into roles and made tough decisions:

👉 Challenge bias or stay silent?
The performance sparked honest conversations about empathy, responsibility, and how we treat those who aren’t digitally fluent.
