1st dissemination
On 23rd July 2025, IN-PLANET proudly presented the KA210 Erasmus+ Youth project “Unmasking the Digital Mirage: Media Literacy in the Age of Fake News” during a special dissemination event held in Parnitha, Athens. The presentation took place within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA153 training course organized by IN-PLANET, which ran from July 15th to 24th and brought together 27 youth workers and young leaders from nine countries: Greece, Cyprus, Lithuania, Hungary, Romania, North Macedonia, Spain, France, and Portugal.
During the event, IN-PLANET members presented the activities of the first LTTA in Slovakia and the local workshops in Greece, sparking meaningful dialogue around the role of youth work in combating misinformation and promoting critical thinking. Participants explored how media literacy can empower young people to navigate digital spaces with awareness, question online narratives, and recognize the influence of fake news on public opinion and personal wellbeing.
The dissemination created space for reflection and feedback from youth professionals representing countries not directly involved in the project, enriching the conversation with diverse perspectives and practical insights. The exchange highlighted the importance of equipping young people with the tools to decode digital content and engage responsibly in today’s media-saturated world.

During the dissemination event, IN‑PLANET members presented the activities carried out in the second LTTA in Leskovac, Serbia and the second series of local workshops in Greece, opening a meaningful discussion on the various methodologies used to deconstruct media messages and identify bias in headlines and visuals. We explored the technical aspects of detecting manipulated or AI-generated content and deepfakes, while also highlighting the creative ways we analyzed how framing and perspective can influence public perception. The conversation further focused on practical strategies for recognizing fake news on social networks, emphasizing the importance of improving media literacy to help young people evaluate the digital content they encounter every day.
